Increasing Value Seen in Technical and Community College Post-High School Education

LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner is weighing in on the country’s need for skilled workers. “Historically here, there’s been a tremendous amount of weight that’s been given to four-year university degrees and not nearly enough weight in my opinion is given to vocational training facilities and vocational training certifications.” Registered apprenticeship requires that each apprentice completes 144 hours annually of related technical instruction (RTI), which is typically provided by community and technical colleges as well as vocational training providers.
